How do I fix error code 106 on my LG TV?

1. Try power cycling your TV

  1. Press and hold the Power button on the remote control for 10 seconds to turn the LG Smart TV off.
  2. When the TV is off, disconnect the power cord from the power source.
  3. Keep it disconnected for about a minute or so.
  4. Connect it to the power outlet and turn the TV back on.
  5. After you complete the power cycle, open Quick Settings.
  6. Next, select Network.
  7. Choose a Wi-Fi connection.
  8. Select your network on the list and enter its password and the Internet connection will be established.

2. Change the country in your settings

  1. Press the Settings button on the remote.
  2. Navigate to General settings.
     
  3. Next, choose Location.
  4. Now select LG Services Country.
  5. Select a different region such as the US or Canada.
  6. Confirm the changes and restart your TV.
  7. Try to establish a WiFi connection again and check if the error message still appears.

3. Enable Live Plus

  1. On your TV, go to the Settings menu.
  2. Next, navigate to General and choose Additional settings.
     
  3. Disable Quick Start +.
  4. Lastly, go ahead and turn on Live Plus.

4. Reset TV to factory settings

  1. Press the Settings button on the remote.
  2. Navigate to All settings.
     
  3. Next, select General and then System.
  4. After that, select Reset to Initial Settings.
  5. Select OK to confirm.
  6. This will reset all your settings, remove all data, and fix any network connectivity issues.

LG TV WiFi error code 106 is usually caused by your settings, so you just need to adjust or reset them to fix the problem.
